Green Tomorrows Program

Green Tomorrows (GT) is a horticulture and job skills development program open to low-income D.C. residents (earning less than a living wage).  The program will occur in two sessions through the spring and summer. GT participants attend weekly class and hands-on sessions covering horticulture, nutrition, food gardening, marketing fresh products, food preservation, job training and life skills.  All GT participants receive weekly shares of the food grown at the 7th Street Garden.

Green Tomorrows seeks to increase access to fresh food, empower people to make healthy living choices, enhance participants job skills by providing training in management and marketing of horticulture programs.  It is free to enroll in the GT program.  A transportation stipend is provided to participants.
